So i decided to not write in the weekends, just because it is too busy for me to write. But I want to give you a quick recap of my weekend.
On saturday I went to the China Lights in Rotterdam! It was so beautiful and I was really sad I did not bring my photo camera with me. I love to take pictures and especially of things like this. So fortunately I had to take them with my Iphone camera. I can not complain, the pictures are okay and the quality is okay too. Not the quality I wished for but it's better than nothing.
There were a lot of beautiful lights in all kinds of shapes and colors. Like you can see on the pictures above there was a section filled with cute little pandas. They were ADORABLE! Besides the pandas you had dragons, flowers, fishes and a lot more! If you live in Holland and you want to do something fun for a night you can go to the park next to the Euromast. You can visit the china lights till the 14th of february. For more information and prices click > here < I can really recommend it to you.
Another thing I did this weekend was going to the IFFR. For the ones who do not know where IFFR stands for it stands for International Film Festival Rotterdam. Yes it's in Rotterdam again, but if you want a really cultural day/ night you should visit it. The city is filled with people from different cultures, you can learn a lot from them and from the movies. The IFFR will be in Rotterdam till the third of february. To give you an impression I'll show you the trailers of the movies I went to.
The first movie is called La Tendresse. It is about a divorced couple that is going to pick their injured son up. He is a ski instructor in the alps. This movie has a deep underlaying layer. It is not only about two divorced parents picking up their son from the hospital, but there is more to it. About how people can and can not change within fifteen years. But I'm not going to say anything more of it.
I liked the movie, it was not a difficult movie to follow and it was nice to start with. It was a lose film which made you like it.
The second movie was a bit more complicated and harder to follow. I liked it, but you really had to pay attention to everything. This is a German film called das unsichtbare mädchen. I could not find the right trailer of this so I'll link you to the official page of the movie > Here < When you click on the link it will provide you with all the information about the movie and a short summary.
To conclude my weekend was great and very cultural. I love weekends like these, but unfortunately they have to end at some point. So goodbye weekend and hello school and blogging!
Lots of Love,
Laura
